This Ultra Rare Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution was a Ltd edition homologation special, the most successful Dakar rally car ever made, which took 12 victories between 1985 and 2007, including an impressive 1-2-3 finish in 1998, rightly earning it the title of ‘King of the Desert’.
Approximately 2, 500 road-legal versions of the Pajero Evolution were built for the Japanese market, all of which featured Recaro front seats and redesigned bodywork with flared wheel arches, a wraparound rear spoiler, and a scooped bonnet. Only around 500 of these cars are understood to have left the factory with the five-speed manual transmission. And less than 200 were silver. Also worth noting as it was a preferred gearbox for rally use only a handful still exists
